There is a dog license form on the township's website, which claims that registration is $5 and renewal is $5 before April 1st. However it's not clear if, when or how this is enforced.
[edit] Off-Leash Dog Park
There is a plan to put an Off-Leash Dog Park in Cherry Hill Village. $50,000 is needed to make the park a reality, donations are being collected by Friends of Canton's Dog Park. More information on Canton Leisure Services' website.

Dog day care allows dogs to socialize and exercise while their owners are at work.

- Halliday's Pet Resort on Canton Center Rd about half a mile north of Michigan Ave
- Valley of the Hounds on Hannan Rd behind Fellows Creek Golf Course

Canton is served by the Humane Society of Huron Valley, which requests advanced notice via phone call (734-662-5585 x118) regarding lost or found pets.
